Duri-duri tersebut juga bisa menyuntikkan racun. Karena itu harus menggunakan sarung tangan untuk memegangnya. Juga lendir yang ditinggalkan sebagai jejaknya juga beracun. Semua vegetasi yang dilalui pasti akan layu dan mati.
Tapi racun ini juga berguna. Racun Streeler dapat digunakan sebagai pembasmi hama seperti Horklump. Makanannya mirip seperti siput biasa, yaitu jamir, tanaman dan alga.
