The Sith Order consisted of the Sith, force-sensitives who practiced the ways of the Dark Side. With atheir eternal enemy as the Jedi, the Sith were a key component in the aptly named Sith Empire. As a branch of the Empire, Sith may be in the Order, the Army, and the Navy at the same time, but cannot advance to the rank of officer in any of those branches, nor may they be in a division of those branches, while they are part of the Sith.

- Rules & Expectations -
◆Maturity is required. While on Korriban or any other Sith Empire location, all Sith are expected to maintain maturity for their own dignity.
Obedience is required. If a Sith of higher ranking gives you a command, you are to follow through with it unless it violates Imperial Law. Precedence is given especially to the commands of your Master, or from a Dark Councilor.
◆Activity is required. While an excused absence is permitted as long as you notify a Master or above, Sith are expected to maintain decent activity by patrolling Korriban and attending events. Any Sith who are inactive without cause will be demoted or possibly exiled if it is especially severe.
◆Respect is required. Sith are to give the proper respect to their superiors, bowing to any Sith Master+ who is in their area. They will bow until the Master+ tells them to rise. However, if the Master+ simply walks past them, then a brief bow is to be given. Sith are also to properly address any who are Master+ as M’lord. Force Sensitives-Acolytes are also required to salute any military officer superior to their rank.
◆Combat proficiency is expected. Sith are expected to be effective with vibrosabers and lightsabers, but should also maintain familiarity and skill with blasters as well. Mobility and speed are to be valued..
◆Lore knowledge is expected. While not every tidbit of the vast Star Wars universe is expected to be known, Sith should generally be aware of at least prominent Sith lore as well as Old Republic era lore. The Rule of One, Rule of Two, Sith Code, and other prominent Sith teachings are also expected to be known.
◆Nominal command experience is encouraged. At times, Sith may be required to lead troopers into battle in place of an army NCO or officer, depending upon the Sith’s rank. As such, Sith should be capable and familiar with organizing a group of men, giving orders, and communicating effectively as they see required. Once Sith reach the rank of Apprentice, they may command troopers ranked E5 Sergeant and below. Sith Eradicators may command E6 Sergeants-Major and below, Sith Masters and Overseers may command N1 Chiefs and below, Sith Lords O5 Major General and below, and Darths O6 Lieutenant General and below. The Dark Council holds supreme authority over the Sith Order, second only to that of the Sith Emperor and his Powerbase.

- Rank Structure -
◆Force Sensitive: Force Sensitives were individuals who, while attuned to the Force, were not skilled with the Dark Side and were not considered Sith. Sensitives are still being trained in the way of the Dark Side, and are issued a vibrosaber for their use. You are still proving yourself to be Sith, and thus do not hold any power. Attend trainings to advance.
◆Hopeful: Hopefuls were those who proved themselves capable while in training, and had potential to become worthy enough of joining the Sith. You have shown your dedication to the Order; continue it, and you will be rewarded. Attend trainings to advance.
◆Initiate: Initiates were those who rose from the Force Sensitives and Hopefuls through demonstration of the skill, tenacity, cunning, and ambition that were the cornerstone of the Sith. As an Initiate, it is especially expected to know your lore by now. While you still have the same status in authority and power as Force Sensitives and Hopefuls, you are held to a higher standard in lore, combat, and competence. Attend trainings to advance.
◆Acolyte: Acolytes have finally proven themselves worthy in the ways of the Sith. Having passed their training, they now have one final test: finding a Master who will take them in their service. First, the Acolyte must contact any Sith who is at the rank of Master or above. Dark Councilors qualify as well, although they are more expecting in their standards. Then, the Sith must either accept the Acolyte’s request, or reject it. If the request is accepted, then the Acolyte begins taking the Sith Trials. The four Trials are of Lore, Maneuvering, Obstacles, and Dueling. The Sith who is giving the trials will decide how the trials will be given, and how successful the acolyte must be in completing them in order to pass. Once the acolyte is finished, the Sith will either decide that they’ve passed, or decide that they’ve failed. If the acolyte has passed, then they will formally become an Apprentice to their Master. If they fail, the acolyte will have to retake the Trials.
◆Apprentice: Apprentices were Sith who managed to pass their initial tests and impress a high-ranking Sith enough to be taken into their service. Now considered full members of the Order, apprentices are firstly concerned with carrying out the orders of their Master and surpassing their expectations. As an apprentice, you may now give commands to troopers who are at the rank of E5 Sergeant and below. Your first priority, however, is to ask your Master for any commands and to fulfill them as needed, even orders to kill, as well as to defend your Master against any threats who would befall him or her. While you can still be commanded by any Sith who ranks above you, your Master’s orders are given precedence. However, the orders of the Dark Council, along with the Emperor’s Powerbase, hold special precedence above all others. Military officers below the rank of Major General cannot command you, but you may cooperate with them as you wish. If you ever reach or surpass the rank of your Master, you are released from your apprenticeship with them. While carrying out your Master’s orders, you carry their authority. For example, if your Master was a Sith Lord, and they ordered you to give a command to a Lieutenant General, the General would follow the authority of your Master. You advance through your Master’s discretion, as well as Sith trainings.
◆Adept: Sith Adepts were apprentices who were familiar with their station and role, as well as proficient in it. While not functionally different from an apprentice, you are more experienced in your tasks. Attend Sith trainings to advance.
◆Warrior: Sith Warriors formed the backbone of the Sith Order. Familiar with lore, skilled in combat, and competent in leadership, warriors were particularly efficient at dispatching their foes, and awed both ally and enemy alike. You are rising in the ranks of the Sith, and are familiar with its structure as well. You may command lesser Sith, and serve as their inspiration to prevail. Gain the attention of a Sith Master or above to advance.
◆Eradicator: Sith Eradicators were essentially the Sith equivalent of the Jedi Knight. Considered a middle rank in the Order, you are now in command of troopers ranked E6 Sergeant-Major and below. You also play a larger part in the Order: now, you may co-host and assist in trainings and tryouts, and are considered to be an authority in the Sith Empire. You still serve your Master, however. In order to advance, you must be noticed and promoted by a Sith Lord or above.
◆Marauder: Sith Marauders were formidable foes in combat. You have made your way into the higher ranks of the Order, and now carry two lightsabers into combat. You are responsible for ensuring that the Sith still retain their edge in battle, and are encouraged to actively duel fellow Sith to ascertain their skill. To advance, prove yourself and gain the attention of a Darth or a Dark Councilor.
◆Master: Sith Masters were high-ranking Sith who managed to rise past their fellows and prove themselves to be one with the Dark Side. As a Sith Master, your bond with your Master is no longer as taut as it was before, and while you may still nominally obey them with the same precedence as before, you have a greater capacity for ambition and authority than before. You may now gain up to two apprentices in your service, and may also apply to become an Overseer. As a Master, you are to lead lesser ranking Sith in matters of lore and combat, as well as keep watch for any Sith capable of becoming Warriors. You may host Sith tryouts and trainings, as well as command N1 Chiefs. In order to become a Sith Lord, you must either become an Overseer and gain notice by a Darth, or be promoted by decision of the Dark Council.
Overseer: Sith Overseers were responsible for teaching those who wished to join the Order in the ways of the Dark Side and the history of the Sith. While they retained the status and authority of Sith Masters, Overseers were especially tasked with training the Force Sensitives, Hopefuls, and Initiates that wished to become Sith. As an Overseer, knowledge of lore is a definite requirement, as well as an eye for good skill and competence. You are also expected to host a training at least twice a week, and a tryout once a week. Skills in saber combat are also required, as you may wish to test yourself against a particularly adept initiate or two. If you are noticed for your activity and service by a Darth, then you will be promoted to the prestigious and powerful rank of Sith Lord.
◆Sith Lord: Sith Lords were those with considerable knowledge and strength in the Dark Side of the Force. They held vast power in the Sith Empire, and few were outside of their reach. As a Sith Lord, your primary task is to assist in leading the Empire, as well as overseeing the Overseers, Masters, and your own apprentices. Your authority is wide, and you may command O5 Major Generals and below. Your apprentice is your primary tool of your will at this point, able to exert your commands and influence to others. In order to join the ranks of the Sith Order’s highest echelons and become a Darth, the Dark Council must decide to promote you.
◆Darth: Sith Lords who attained the title of Darth were amongst the most skilled, ardent, and powerful members of the Sith Order and the Sith Empire as a whole. They often influenced the very workings of the Empire and were instrumental in its continued operation. To become a Darth was one of the rarest gifts to be conferred upon a Sith, and there was much competition to claim such a title of power. As a Darth, you have joined the ranks of the most influential Sith in the Order. Your command has grown, as you may now command O6 Lieutenant Generals in the military, as well as the vast Order of Sith. You are given such power in order to help run the Empire, and are expected to hold events. Only the Dark Council, the Emperor’s Powerbase, and the Sith Emperor himself have authority over you.
◆Dark Council: Consisting of twelve Dark Lords of the Sith, the Dark Council served as the ruling body of the Sith Empire. Each of these Councilors was at the head of one of the Empire’s Spheres of Influence, giving them charge over vast resources and unrivalled power at their discretion. The Dark Councilors oversaw the entire Empire and all of the branches and divisions that it consists of, and held authority superior to all but the Emperor and his Powerbase. Each member of the Dark Council is equal to one-another, and through their joint agreement they decide how the Empire will operate. Only the elite and highly esteemed Dark Honor Guard are outside of their jurisdiction.

- Sith Lore -
◆Rule of Two
The Rule of Two was instituted by Darth Bane, once a student at Kaan's Sith academy, in response to what he viewed as inevitable, self-destructive infighting within the Sith Order. The Rule of Two states that there would be only two Sith at one time, a Master and an Apprentice, guaranteeing that when the Apprentice becomes powerful enough in the ways of the dark side to take the title of Master, only then would they be worthy of the title. This transfer of power would only take place when the Apprentice takes their Master's life and finds a worthy student to repeat the cycle, this way the Sith will grow more powerful and still exist through the new Master. Both Master and Apprentice were considered to be Sith Lords.
◆Rule of One
The Rule of One; Darth Krayt's doctrine, as followed by the One Sith focused, in stark contrast to the core tenets of the old Sith, on obedience rather than conflict and survival of the strongest, with many Sith following one leader and purpose. When Darth Krayt founded his new Sith Order, he abolished Darth Bane's Rule of Two, a dictate which commanded that there should be only two Sith at any one time; a master and an apprentice, one to embody the power of the dark side, the other to crave it. Instead, there would be the Rule of One—that One being the Sith Order itself, under which there would be many minions, acolytes/adepts and lords with only one Dark Lord of the Sith. Darth Krayt believed he gave the Sith and their power a purpose, unlike Darth Bane who believed that power was its own purpose. The Rule of One came after the Rule of Two.
◆The Sith Code
Peace is a lie, there is only passion.
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength, I gain power.
Through victory, my chains are broken.
The Force shall free me.
◆The Hundred-Year Darkness
The Hundred-Year Darkness was a conflict that began in 7000 BBY and lasted until approximately 6900 BBY, when a group of Dark Jedi (Early Sith) created monstrous armies to battle the Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic. The Hundred-Year Darkness began three years after the Dark Jedi split with the Order in the Second Great Schism. After 10 decades of fighting, the Dark Jedi lost the war, in its final battle, but went on to conquer Korriban, and found the Sith.
◆The Great Hyperspace War
The Great Hyperspace War was fought between the Galactic Republic and the Sith Empire in 5000 BBY. The conflict encompassed the entire Galactic Republic, though the main forces focused their attention on three Republic worlds, and later took the war to the remote star system Primus Goluud, and the Sith mausoleum world of Korriban.
After it overcame the initial shock of the Sith invasion, the Republic's armadas regrouped and annihilated the Sith Empire, forcing the Sith Lord Naga Sadow to exile himself to Yavin 4.
◆The Great Galactic War
The Great Galactic War, known as the Great War during the conflict and in the years afterward, was a war between the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic between 3681 BBY and 3653 BBY, lasting for a total of 28 years. Also known as the Republic–Sith War, the conflict was ultimately the culmination of a 1300-year grudge held by survivors of the old Sith Empire against the Republic for their defeat in the Great Hyperspace War.
The war would cost countless lives and devastate worlds from the Core to the Rim, as well as having dramatic galactic consequences otherwise. The Republic economy was shattered and roughly half the galaxy would end up under Sith dominion, and the Jedi Order would withdraw from the galactic capital to establish a new home on their ancient homeworld.
But it would not ultimately be conclusive. While a strategic defeat for the Republic, the end of the war left both powers standing, engaged in an undeclared conflict for supremacy on numerous disputed worlds.
◆Lightsaber Forms
- Form I: Shii-Cho
Form I, also called "The Way of the Sarlacc," is the most basic form of lightsaber combat -- and the most ancient.
- Form II: Makashi
Form II, also called "The Way of the Ysalamiri," developed when the Jedi and Sith began fighting each other & lightsaber wielders. It emphasizes precision, simple footwork, and preventing disarmament, and thus is a strong defense against Form I. Curved-hilt lightsabers made it easier to control the one-handed fighting style.
- Form III: Soresu
Form III, also called "The Way of the Mynock," was developed to defend against blasters. It is characterized by tight, efficient movements that shield the Jedi's or Sith's body, using the lightsaber primarily as a defensive weapon to deflect blaster bolts.
- Form IV: Ataru
Form IV, also called "The Way of the Hawk-Bat," is an aggressive, acrobatic style. A practitioner of this form channels the Force to achieve high-speed movements, impossible leaps, and deadly strikes. To an outsider, it appears as a wild rush of movement.
- Form V: Shien / Djem So
Form V, also called "The Way of the Krayt Dragon," developed out of Form III, utilizing its precise defensive motions to create a more offensive fighting style. Its basic premise is using one's natural strength to dominate an opponent.
- Form VI: Niman
Form VI, also called "The Way of the Rancor," is a synthesis of elements from the five previous forms. It is especially popular among Jedi who do not focus on combat training, as it is easy to master and execute -- for this reason, however, Jedi and Sith who have mastered other forms may view it as inferior.
- Form VII: Juyo / Vaapad
Form VII, also called "The Way of the Vornskr," is the most difficult of the traditional lightsaber forms, both physically and emotionally. Rather than ridding themselves of emotions, practitioners of Form VII channel them into the fight, attacking with chaotic, furious, and unpredictable moves to catch their opponents off guard.
