Dalam seni kriptografi klasik, sandi BIFID (BIFID CIPHER) adalah sandi/cipher yang diciptakan sekitar tahun 1901 oleh Felix Delastelle, awalnya dia hanya membuat sandi dalam 1 kotak (bifid cipher), lalu diapun sempat membuat 1 penerapan lagi dengan membentuk perluasan pembagian 3 kotak (trifid) utk memperkecil kemungkinan pesan dalam sandi itu mudah dipecahkan saat mengirim pesan dimana pada sandi BIFID menggunakan 1 buah kotak 5x5, sedangkan pada TRIFID menggunakan 3 buah kotak 3x3
