- Orang Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan, dan India juga mengenal bumbu ini.
Di Indonesia sendiri, dikenal sebagai Andaliman. Bumbu khas Batak, sering juga dikenal sebagai Rempah Tuba.
Di Batak Andaliman sering dipakai untuk menyajikan Makan Arsik Ikan Mas dan berbagai makanan khas Batak lainnya. Bahkan, rasa makanan itu sendiri akan janggal jika tidak ditambahkan dengan Andaliman.
