Kalau dibaca dari ciri-cirinya fire crab adalah hewan yang unik dan tentunya banyak orang yang ingin menjadikannya peliharaan. Saya ingin melihatnya langsung tapi kalau memeliharanya saya tidak berniat karena senyaman-nyaman ia menjadi peliharaan saya akan lebih nyaman lagi jika ia dihabitat aslinya. Juga, memelihara fire crab akan sedikit beresiko jika tidak mahir merawatnya karena bisa saja kena semburan apinya dan membuat luka bakar yang menyakitkan.
