Dolores Jane Umbridge adalah salah satu orang yang menginterogasi Harry dalam Sidang Wizengamot.
Interogasi Harry Potter, dimana Harry dituduh melanggar Dekrit Pembatasan Masuk Akal bagi Penyihir dibawah umur dan Undang-Undang Kerahasiaan Sihir Internasional.
Penggambaran Umbridge seperti kodok bukan berarti dulunya kodok atau dia bukan kodok. Umbridge ditempatkan di Hogwarts sebagai guru Pertahanan Terhadap Ilmu Hitam yang baru atas perintah dari Kementerian Sihir di London. Dimana pada saat itu tidak percaya akan kembalinya Lord Voldemort.
Dia kemudian ditunjuk sebagai Inkuisitor Agung Hogwarts yang memberikan Umbridge kekuasaan tak terbatas terhadap murid, guru-guru dan kurikulum. Umbridge juga membentuk Regu Inkuisitorial yang kebanyakan terdiri dari anak-anak Slytherin yang dengan gembira menerima tugas ini untuk bertindak semena-mena dan menjatuhkan detensi pada murid-murid lain yang tidak mereka sukai, terutama Harry. Mereka juga kerap mengurangi poin asrama lain dengan alasan-alasan yang sepele dan tidak masuk akal.
Pada masa kejayaannya Umbridge melarang penggunaan mantra sihir dalam pengajaran.
