1. When did the prophet head to Makkah and why? The prophet headed to Makkah in the month of Thul-Qidah in the 6th year after hijrah, to perform hajj.
2. Why did he choose the month of Thul-Qidah to perform his visit to Makkah? He chose the month of Thul-Qidah because in this month if someone performs hajj or Umrah, they should not fight or kill someone when your performing hajj or Umrah
3. What was the prophet's main motive for visiting Makkah, additional to worshiping in masjid al haram? The real reason is that the messenger of Allah was to find a peaceful way to resolve the conflict between Muslims and pagans.

5. Who was the prophet Muhammad's Muslim emissary to the Makkans? What happened to him? Urwah Ibn masoud was the emissary to the Makkans. According to Arabian custom, the Quraysh was obligatory to allow all the Arabs to visit the sacred house (kabah), especially during the sacred months, that's why they sent Urwah Ibn Masoud
6. What is bay'at ur Ridwan? Why did the Prophet call for it? And where did it happen? In Makkah, Bay'at ur Ridwan is when many people offer their sincere pledge to obey Allah and his prophet, even in matters of death, the prophet called for this to see how many people would come and obey Allah.

1. What are the main terms of the Treaty of Al-Hudaybiyah?
-The Prophet Muhammad and the Muslims would withdraw that year but they would come back the following year. Muslims would be permitted to visit Makkah next year and perform their Umrah and stay in Makkah for three days.
-The Quraysh and Muslims would commit to a truce for ten years. During this period the Muslims and the Quraysh would refrain from fighting and avoid provocation.
-The Muslims and the Quraysh would be free to sign alliance treaties with any tribes around Arabia.
-The Muslims would reject any person from the Quraysh defecting to Madinah to become a Muslim. But the Quraysh would be free to receive any Muslim wishing to change his religion and join to Makkans.
2. Who were the people that signed the treaty on behalf of the Muslims and the Quraysh?
Banu Bakr signed the treaty on behalf o the Quraysh and Banu Khuza'ah signed the treaty on behalf of the Muslims
3. What were the things that the Quraysh's representatives objected to while writing the document of the treaty? How did the Prophet resolve this disagreement?
After some discussion Prophet Muhammad accepted the proposal. When the agreement was to be committed to writing, the Prophet called Ali Ibn Abi Talib and started dictating words.

5. Who was Abu Jandal and what did he do during the time of the signing of the treaty?
Abu Jandal was a great sahabi and during the time of signing the treaty, he asked the Muslims to drive him back to the pagans and let them persecute him.
6. Why didn't the Prophet help Abu Jandal? What lesson was learned from this?
The Prophet wanted Abu Jandal to learn how to be more patient and to control himself.
7. What did Omar say to Abu Bakr and what was his answer?
Omar said,"Isn't he the messenger of Allah?" Abu Bakr replied,"Certainly."
8. Which tribes made alliances with the Muslims and with the Quraysh?
The two tribes who made the alliances were: Osayd Ibn Hoydayr and Saad Ibn Ubadah.
9. What were the benefits of sulh-al-hudaybiyah?
Spreading Islam in Arabia, saving lives of Quraysh people, protecting Muslim lives in Makkah and recognizing the power of Islam in Arabia.

The surah that was revealed after the treaty was surat-ul-Fateh

Ummu Salamah's real name is Hind Bint Abi Ummayah Al-Makhzoomy, her mother's name was Aatika Bint Abdul-Muttalib.

Ummu Salamah's husband is Abdullah Ibn Abdulasad, or Abu Salamah.
3. Where was the first trip of Ummu Salamah to? Why did she travel?
The first trip of Ummu Salamah is Abyssinia because life in Makkah became unbearable for many of the new Muslims. The prophet recognized the oppression that they were enduring and gave permission for them to emigrate to Abyssinia.
4. What lessons can one learn from the story of Ummu Salamah's hijrah to Madinah?
Whenever your fighting for the sake of Allah you should never give up and strive.
5. Describe the efforts Abu Salamah did for Islam in Madinah?
He fought in the Battle of Badr and the Battle of Uhud, he never gave and up and he fought for the sake of Allah.
6. What was the du'aa Ummu Salamah learned when she was about to die?
'Surely from Allah we are, and to Him we return.' And He would pray 'Oh Allah, reward me for my plight and give me in return something better than what I lost'
7. What did Ummu Salamah say to the Prophet when he wanted to marry her and what is her response?
She said that she is a woman with three characteristics,"Old, jealous and has a young family." The Prophet replied, "I am old like you, I will make du'aa for your jealousy to go away and your family is my family."
