-Keep to 1 page
-Choose 10 places you want to work (e.g. Boston Tea Party, independent coffee shops and include 2 or 3 places less enjoyable for now just to get a job - such as Asda or another big supermarket)
-Make a video like this (keep to 2 minutes or less): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G8eXnmxAXDE. Describe why you want to work there - e.g. You've enjoyed shopping there/being served there in the past - make it personal and genuine.
-Make sure that when you upload the video to youtube that it is "unlisted" - this means that only the employer that you sent the link to has seen the video.
-Personalise the CV - Short paragraph on why you specifically want to work for that place - keep the rest of the CV the same.
-Put the link of the video near the top of the CV and make sure it stands out from the rest of the CV (large font and bold) "Video of I want to work here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G8eXnmxAXDE"
-Apply to 10 places (coffee shops and restaurants) with a CV like this. Walk in, ask to speak to the manager, if they're not there tell the person that you're handing the CV to that you made a fun little video and that the link is on the CV. Just insist that the manager watch the video.
