kat: he is the leather of most the pack. he is 40, mature, strong, and has a distinctive sixth sence in identifying trouble and food, and the others mens admire greatly about him. well kat and pauls become closet friends. he really believed in duty. he's a fighter.
albert: his death was less poetic he was shot in the leg above his knee. h wil find his revolver and air out his kill.
westhus:
paul: he and kat are really good friend and closets. he was so disopointed and really sad that kat died infro of him and he was really sad they both really close.
Mueller: He becomes obsessed with the question and forces each of his mates to open up, physically confronting them if they hesitate to answer. He is the one who leads the mockery of the "silly" things they learned in school, asking trivia questions of the guys as if they were still in school. The irony of the meaninglessness of these questions against the backdrop of basic human needs in the war defines Müller's tone. He dies from a shot of a light pistol in the stomach.
tjaden: The rules at the Front are different, and rank and military hierarchies count for a lot less in the face of speeding bullets. When Paul's friend ambush Himmelstoss on his way home from a pub, we sense a mildly homo-erotic tone in the way that Tjaden unbuttons and yanks down Himmelstoss's pants so he can be whipped.
