The Graciousness Index is an annual study conducted over a six-week period from December 2014 to February 2015, surveying a total of 1,850 respondents, it is commissioned by the Singapore Kindness Movement to track experience and perceptions of kindness and graciousness in Singapore, as well as study attitudes towards pertinent community issues. As part of the study, the survey also looked at public attitudes in the community. Within their neighbourhoods, almost 9 in 10 Singaporeans interact positively with their neighbours. The act of kindness itself can be very simple - a smile, a wave, a word of thanks or encouragement. Singapore Kindness Movement: to encourage everyone to start, show and share kindness and to encourage the individual to internalise courtesy, kindness and consideration.

我觉得道德和法规在一起是最好的。可是如果我要选最重要的，我一定会选道德。法规主要是通过制裁的威胁渠道我们的行为而道德是当我们做错误的事情，我们就惨了内疚和非难和当我们做正确的事情，我们会遇到美德和享受的一致好评。法律规定会处罚破坏法律的人而道德预计人们做到最理想的行为。提升道德的一部分是通过社会化，学习和灌输。当一个孩子被他的父母培养，戏剧与同行和上学，孩子吸收了很多经验教训，并学到感到内疚的某些行为和良性别的行为。随着这些教训孩子学会辱骂不良行为和恭维的良好行为。如果每个人都有道德水平，我们就不用严格执行法规了。如果有法规，人们一定会遵守法规，但如果有道德，人们会比别人预计他们做得更多。如果国家有许多法规但没有人关，这些法规不是都没用了吗？日本没有那么多法规，但是他们的人民因为有道德水平，他们的国家比新加坡干净，而新加坡有许多法规。从这里可以看到道德水平比严格执行法规重要为了迈向优雅社会。另一个例子是印度嫁妆系统。嫁妆制度指的是耐用品，现金和不动产或者动产新娘的家庭给予新郎，他的父母，或者他的亲属结婚的条件。嫁妆是比如：现金，首饰，电器，家具，床上用品，餐具，用具和服务，帮助新婚夫妇等家居用品设立自己的家。嫁妆制度给新娘的家人带来大放财政负担。因为这样，新娘和她的家人会犯规，去偷东西为了来买嫁妆。从这个例子可以看出只有法规而没有道德，社会不可以优雅。当人们没有道德水平，我们才用法规。新加坡的人民在新加坡里不会犯规，但是去别的国家时，因为没有法规，他们会忘新加坡的法规而开犯规。而是如果这些人有道德水平，这些道德会跟这他们。出国时会懂得正确的行为，不用别人告诉他们。

Knowledge and understanding of each other’s cultural traditions, beliefs and practices will
contribute to an appreciation of shared values and aspirations, as well as an appreciation of each
other’s differences, thus contributing to the development of mutual respect and tolerance.

Peoples of the region should learn to live together on the basis of mutual respect and
understanding, helping one another, sharing and caring for the benefit of all. Learning to live together in peace and harmony is a dynamic, holistic and lifelong process through which mutual respect, understanding, caring and sharing,
compassion, social’ responsibility, acceptance and tolerance of diversity
among individuals and groups are internalized and practised together to solve problems and to work
towards a just and free, peaceful and democratic society.
Learning to live together in peace and harmony requires that quality of relationships
at all levels is committed to peace. human rights, democracy and social justice in an
ecologically sustainable environment.

teachers: For democracy to continue to thrive, children must be taught to value it as a way of life. The necessary skills for building democracy do not develop automatically in children. Teaching democracy means preparing children to become citizens who will preserve and shape democracy in the future. Therefore democracy should be a key aspect in every form of education at the earliest age possible.

to have a good government, the government must have good moral standards and hence, the citizens must have moral standards as they may be in the next cabinet of governors.
