Josine is registered for the practice area General practice (Civil law) in the register of legal practice areas of the Dutch Bar Association. In 2013, Josine finished the Magna Charta post doc course on Insurance with fine grades. She completed her training as a lawyer at Kennedy Van der Laan, with the Insurance and Liability department.

I paid the money and a few weeks later got the start of the sob-story. Apparently they had an unexpected large incasso from a utility which drained the funds from their bank account between when I transferred them money and them placing the order. They promised they were working on the problem in the background but there may be a delay in delivery. Independently I verified by contacting the vendor that they got the same sob story. Josine Potharst handles matters regarding insurance and liability law and logistics.
Her expertise lies in insurance law, heavy equipment and other construction related matters, general liability/standard terms & conditions and professional indemnity, as well as in logistics. Josine mainly assists insurers, insurance brokers and logistics service providers. The business said they had no money and were waiting on the outcome of a court case to reclaim the money they think was unfairly taken from their account and said this could take a while. Meanwhile the vendor said they hadn't formally been set up as a distributor when I placed the order, and didn't want to take the risk informally for recovering the cost.

Their legal advice was that the business was classified as horeca and since it was covid the odds are they'd go bankrupt (they didn't). I buy another set of speakers for 1/3rd of the price, and after I recover the money from the business I pay another 1/3rd, and the third 1/3rd is a discount gift as an apology for how this all went down. Got the speakers but now I'm out of pocket $5k, and technically "owe" another $5k.
