Satwa Gaib, dibagi dalam 3 kelompok:
1. Beast
• makhluk yang susah dikendalikan
• kecerdasannya kurang -> tidak mengerti sihir
2. Being
• kebalikan dari Beast
• kecerdasannya cukup -> mengerti sihir
3. Spirit
• makhluk-makhluk supranatural
• sudah meninggal / tidak punya tubuh
ada 4 kategori dalam spirit, yaitu:
a) Non-being: tidak terlahir, tidak benar-benar dapat dibunuh, terbentuk dari asupan emosi
manusia
b) Ghost: roh tanpa tubuh dari seorang penyihir yang pernah hidup
c) Animal-Ghost: hantu makhluk/satwa yang telah mati
d) Spirit Being: kebalikan animal ghost, dapat berkomunikasi
KKM (Klasifikasi Kementrian Sihir)
-> merupakan tingkatan dalam satwa gaib, dikelompokkan berdasarkan tingkat berbahayanya.
yaitu:
1.) X
• membosankan
contoh: Horklump, Flobberworm
2.) XX
• tidak berbahaya
• dapat dipelihara
contoh: Augurey, Bowtruckle
3.) XXX
• masih dapat ditangani oleh penyihir
contoh: Crup, Dugbog
4.) XXXX
• berbahaya
• hanya dapat ditangani penyihir yang sudah terlatih
contoh: Demiguise, Centaurus
5.) XXXXX
• dapat membunuh penyihir
• tidak mungkin dipelihara/dilatih
contoh: Basilisk, Chimaera
