Michelle Obama By: Juju

Michelle Robinson Obama was born on January 17, 1964, in the south side of Chicago, Illinois. Her nickname is "Miche" (pronounced "Meesh"). Being 52 years old, now she is an american lawyer and writer. Her parents are named Fraser Robinson and Marian Robinson. Sadly Fraser passed away in a car crash when Michelle was 27 [ 1991 ]. Michelle also has a older brother, named Craig. Michelle and her family lived in a one bedroom apartment while she was growing up, Michelle and her brother Craig had to share the living room and the parents would get the bedroom. They all lived in a one bedroom-one bathroom apartment. While some of Michelle’s ancestors were slaves, other ancestors were slave owners and even Cherokee Indians. Michelle, as a child went to Bryn Mawr Elementary School that was later renamed Bouchet Academy.
She then attended and graduated from Whitney M. Young Magnet High School in 1981. She then attended Princeton University, graduating in 1985, and went on to earn a Juris Doctor [ lawyer ] degree from Harvard Law School in 1988. Following her graduation from Harvard, she worked at a Chicago law firm, where she met her husband, future United States of America president Barack Obama.

The couple married on October 3, 1992. Michelle was 28 years old when she was married to Mr. Obama. Michelle also has a older brother, named Craig. Barack Obama and Craig Robinson are best friends. Michelle introduced Craig to Mr. Obama by organizing a basketball game for them to play with each other.
The Obamas are the first African-American First Lady and President of the United States of America. Michelle Obama has 2 daughters that are named: Malia Ann and Natasha. Natasha is 15 years old and the youngest. Natasha’s family and friends call her Sasha for short. The older one is Malia Ann, and is 18 years old. Family and friends call her Malia. Malia and Sasha have always been Michelle’s greatest importance. Since Jimmy Carter’s daughter, Amy Carter, Malia and Sasha are the first children to grow up in the white house. The Obama’s have adopted 2 dogs named Bo and a newer one named Sunny.
Michelle Obama worked at the University of Chicago Medical Center. She worked there until 2007. She left working there because she wanted to work on her husband’s campaign. Michelle likes fashion and is always rocking her outfits from morning to night, She is very fit and has challenged herself to go vegan for 30 days at a time. She works out every morning including the weekends. She also has a program called “Let's Move!” so that children born today will grow up healthier and that children can come to the white house and garden with her.
She has a HUGE rose garden in the white house, she also has a movie theater in the white house!
So many things are in the white house and there is only 1 reason why.
The reason is that the president and his wife can not leave the white house, unless they are invited to an other house of the royals/ the president's home at a different location in the world, and wherever their parents go they go.
Did you know that even when the family is in the white house they have to have at least 2 security guards around the family! And there is only one reason for that. A lot of people in the U.S.A don’t like the Obamas. This is her last year of being the first lady of the united states of america.
Did you know that Michelle was once a camp counselor, Michelle before she were first lady made a goal and that she could open the white house someday to all the americans to come together and enjoy. Some of Michelle's favorites are:

Michelle adores her family as you can see, if she has some free time she will go and spend it with her family. Her mom lives with her in the white house, some of Michelle’s family and Barack’s family live in the white house with their family.
