1. WARMER — “Tech Charades Relay” (10 mins)
Goal
Activate prior knowledge of gadgets and computer vocabulary.
Preparation
Prepare vocabulary cards:
smartphone
charger
keyboard
mouse
laptop
headphones
printer
tablet
Wi-Fi
screen
Divide students into teams.
How to Play
One student runs to the teacher.
Teacher gives a card secretly.
Student returns and acts/mimes the object.
Team guesses in English.
Example:
“It’s a keyboard!”
Bonus Challenge
After guessing, team must make a sentence:
“You must charge your phone.”
“Students mustn’t play games in class.”
Physical Activity
Running + miming.
Gamification
Points:
Correct guess = 1 point
Correct sentence = 2 points
2. PRESENTATION — “Review Race” (15 mins)
Instead of long explanation, make review interactive.
A. Quick Grammar Review (10 mins)
Draw 4 corners on the board:
MUST MUSTN’T HAVE TO DON’T HAVE TO
Read situations aloud.
Students run to the correct corner.
Examples:
“You ___ do homework.” → HAVE TO
“You ___ use your phone during exams.” → MUSTN’T
“You ___ bring a laptop tomorrow.” → DON’T HAVE TO
“You ___ listen to your teacher.” → MUST
Ask students WHY.
B. Mini Speaking Drill (5 mins)
Students repeat and personalize:
“I have to study English.”
“I mustn’t sleep in class.”
Encourage gestures and expression.
3. PRACTICE 1 — “Classroom Tech Stations” (20 mins)
Setup
Create 4 stations around the classroom.
Station 1 — Vocabulary Match
Students match:
pictures
words
functions
Example:
keyboard → used for typing
Station 2 — Rule Sorting
Students sort cards into:
MUST
MUSTN’T
HAVE TO
DON’T HAVE TO
Example cards:
bring your charger
eat in the computer lab
save your work
wear headphones
Station 3 — Fix the Sentence
Incorrect sentences:
“You must to study.”
“I don’t have bring laptop.”
Students correct them.
Station 4 — Speed Speaking
Students pick random cards and make sentences in 5 seconds.
Example:
(card = smartphone)
“Students mustn’t use smartphones during tests.”
Physical Activity
Students rotate around stations every 4–5 minutes.

4. PRACTICE 2 — “Human Board Game” (15 mins)
Setup
Make a giant path on the classroom floor using paper numbers.
Students become the “game pieces.”
How to Play
Teams roll dice.
A student moves physically on the path.
Landing squares have tasks.
Examples:
Name 3 gadgets
Make a MUST sentence
Correct this sentence
Mime a computer object
Give a school rule

5. PRODUCTION — “Survive the Digital World” Mission (20 mins)
Scenario
Groups imagine they are creating rules for:
a computer lab
a gaming café
an online classroom
a tech camp
Task
Create:
5 rules using MUST/MUSTN’T
3 obligations using HAVE TO
2 freedoms using DON’T HAVE TO
Then present dramatically.
Example
“Computer Lab Rules”
You must save your work.
You mustn’t eat near computers.
Students have to log out.
You don’t have to bring your own mouse.

6. FEEDBACK & CLOSING — “Tech Token Reflection” (10 mins)
Give students fake “tech tokens” or paper coins.
They must spend one token to answer:

“What gadget do you use every day?”
Exit Ticket
Before leaving, students complete one sentence:
“In school, students must…”
or
“At home, I don’t have to…”
