Freddy Jackson fue un mecánico en la Royal Air Force que durante la Primera Guerra Mundial formó parte de un escuadrón que sirvió a bordo del HMS Daedalus. En 1919, Freddy fue asesinado cuando un avión de hélice lo golpeó. Dos días después, el día del funeral de Freddy, su escuadrón se hizo una foto en grupo.
