This cartoon shows that international relations before 1914 was unstable. It shows that Europe was very messed up. They were all going crazy.
Relations are shown as bad as some countries are shown in a very negative manner like Great Britain, Russia and France. Great Britain is shown as greedy and aggressive, ruthless and out of control and France is shown as if they are running away from Germany and they are being laughed at. They are also shown as weak and not strong.
Other countries are shown in a more positive light like Germany and Austria-Hungary were allies. That’s also why the triple entente is shown so badly and aggressively. In the source, Germany shows it-self as strong and powerful (pushing everyone away) and showed their ally as undefeatable and strong, also powerful.
