We strongly believe that our campaign will be successful and achieve our stated goals as we are helping men by giving them the confidence to ask for help and speak about their feelings anonymously without feeling pressured.

 Men are constantly being pressured by society to act in the way they are perceived – masculine and emotionless, creating a barrier for men to freely act as they want.

 As men are being pressured, men are afraid to speak up about their feelings and ask for help, causing a barrier for them to confidently speak about their feelings and seek help. This barrier is dangerous as it could lead to mental health issues.

 Men are often peer pressured by their associates, similarly with society, to do things that they do not want to and if not, would be perceived as a ‘coward’ or ‘chicken’. This creates a barrier for men to adopt healthy behaviours by choice.

Our two strategies to support men in adopting and maintaining healthy behaviours is to have peer group discussions strictly between men facing the same problems as well as having ‘Little Talks’ – men anonymously talking to a partner one-on-one about their feelings disregarding any prejudice against one another. Peer group discussion helps men to have confidence in sharing their feelings in a small group whom might share the same struggles as them. Peer group discussion also helps to fix the problem they are faced, in working together as a group to achieve the solution. ‘Little Talks’ is based from the idea of Speed Dating but the ‘dating’ is replaced with sharing their problems and feelings to another person anonymously. Little Talks is made so that men are free and able to share their feelings and problems without being judged or perceived.
