I felt that our Geographical Investigation was largely a success. Throughout the entire course of the investigation, I learned much about working as a team to accomplish things. Our group has been largely cooperative throughout the investigation, with conflicts of ideas between members resolved quickly.
One important skill that I also learned is to tolerate each other. When we try to communicate our ideas to one another, our phrasing may not be so pleasant to the other party. Instead of getting defensive of our own ideas, we should tolerate and communicate it properly.
Other than learning more about water conservation through this project, we also learned the importance of staying focused on task. Whenever we met at a house to do the investigation we often took longer breaks than planned and in the end stayed later than expected. This caused minor inconveniences to our friends such as them having to miss attending church service to finish up the day’s work. If we could do this investigation again we would have adhered to the schedule.
The investigation also gave me an insight as to how much water is used for domestic use. Seeing how a household can use so much water, and multiplied by many other households across the world, I can see that a lot of water is used each day than I previously imagined. I will be sure to take note of my future water usage and try my best to save water too.
