Vücut üzerinde organ ve oluĢumların iliĢkilerini ve komĢuluklarını daha iyi tanımlayabilmek
için düzlemlerden yararlanılır. Üç tasarımsal düzlem vardır. Bu düzlemler birbirine
dik açı yapar. Hepsinin kesiĢtiği noktaya, vücut ağırlık merkezi (gravite centralis) denir.
Vücut hangi pozisyonda olursa olsun yer çekiminin en etkili olduğu yer, merkezdir.
Merkez ikinci sakral vertebranın 1-2 cm önüne düĢer. Anatomik düzlemler Ģunlardır:
Frontal (Alın) düzlem (Planum frontalis, planum coronalis)
Alına paralel sağdan sola veya soldan sağa ve yukarıdan aĢağıya doğru uzanan,
vücudu ön ve arka olarak ikiye ayıran düzlemdir.
Median (Orta) düzlem (Planum medianum-planum sagittalis)
Vücudun ortasından, geçen yere dikey inen düzlemdir. Vücudu yukarıdan aĢağı doğru
sağ ve sol olarak iki eĢit parçaya ayırır. Bu düzleme, sagittal düzlem de denir.
Transvers (Enine) düzlem (Planum transversus, planum horizontale)
Yere paralel uzanan, vücudu üst ve alt bölümlere ayıran düzlemdir. Bu düzleme,
horizontal düzlem de denir

Süperior: Üst, üst tarafta olan Ġnferior: Alt, alt tarafta olan
Anterior: Ön, ön tarafta bulunan Posterior: Arka, arkada bulunan
Dexter: Sağ, median düzleme göre sağdaki Sinister: Sol, median düzleme göre soldaki
Median: Orta, ortada bulunan Ġntermedius: Ġki oluĢum arasında
Lateral: DıĢ, dıĢ yan medial düzleme uzak
olan
Medial: Ġç taraf, median düzleme yakın
olan.
Dorsal: Sırt taraf, sırta ait Ventral: Önde, ön tarafta, karına ait
Centralis: Merkez Perifer: Merkezden uzakta, uç
Apicalis(Apex): Tepe, üst kısım Basalis(basis): Taban
Superfacialis: Yüzeysel Profundus: Derin
Cranialis: BaĢ tarafında Cauidalis: Ayak tarafında
Ġnternus: Ġç Externus: DıĢ
Proximalis: Merkez ya da gövdeye yakın Distalis: Merkez ya da gövdeye uzak
Horizontal: Yatay Vertical: Dikey
Transvers: Enlemesine Sagital: Dikine
