1649: Maryland is founded as a haven for Catholics. ACT OF TOLERATION is passed (tolerance for believers in trinity)
1651: NAVIGATION ACTS are passed. It states that Colonists must a) trade using English ships, b) exports must be shipped through England first, and c) valuable products (timber and tobacco) can only be traded with England (Colonists also can't manufacture own goods, or print money)
17th Century: Chesapeake, Maryland, starts to mass produce tobacco, a cash crop. Indentured servants (who became unhappy due to the number of them, as well as receiving land in the west) labor over it.
1676: Bacon (a Virginia Planter who used the unhappy indentured servants) rebelled against Governer Berkeley's Indian Policy, Monopoly of Virginia's Government, and Life in General. Bacon suddenly died, as did the rebellion.
1754: French and Indian War. British win under direction of William Pitt, but aquire huge debt.
1763: PROCLAMATION OF 1763 passed. Forbids Americans from settling in Ohio
Ben Franklin: Started in the Comman Man Class (Lower Middle Class) and worked his way up. This makes America the only Middle Class Society ever.
