I graduated from UC Davis with Economics degree in 2013. However, I built and operated an e-commerce website to sell cosmetics since freshmen year, where I developed strong interests in front end development.
After I graduated one year, I decided to spent my savings in a programming bootcamp to strengthen my back end skills. Before I started working at Checkbook Inc., I had several web development internships. I worked at A3CUBE as a UI/UX developer for a year, where I designed and developed the UI for their operating system. Since I have Meteor experience, I also got a chance to work at Maidgency Inc. to develop their hybrid iOS app with Meteor as a stack. Once I completed the contract at Maidgency, I got the opportunity to work at Checkbook Inc. as a front end engineer.
At Checkbook, we are a small team. Therefore, I am responsible for maintaining and developing any UI/UX features. We had Launch in March, I had to rebuilt 80% of our web application within 10 days. Fortunately, I spent more than 120 hours in a week to have the mission complete.
I designed and developed the embedded form (like Stripe's embedded form) for third parties merchants, which our revenue has increased 3X since then. Within the embedded form, we support 15 banks for real time verification, which means the embedded form is ready for various types of security questions.
