Kebanyakan dari satwa gaib ini suka memakan rusa, Namun juga diketahui bahwa ia lebih suka membawa lari sapi untuk dimakan. Hebridean Black dikenal lebih agresif dari naga asli lain yang juga berasal dari kepulauan Britania.
