The louisiana flood was the worst U.S. disaster since hurricane sandy. In southern louisiana on august 11th it started raining and the rainfall rates were more than 31 inches every 15 hours. On august 13th a flash flood emergency was issued for southern louisiana. On august 15th more than ten rivers reached a state in which they were in a major flood stage. The impact on louisiana was unimaginable. There was no protection or insurence for the floods. It will cost about $30 million. At least 13 people have died since this occurance. People had to ride on horses because it was to dangerous to go through the water. They needed the governments help and the president but they were refusing because they wanted to extend their vacation. Southern louisiana need help and the govener said that anyone can help.
