i spot you at the another end of a field you wave at me and yell my name but then the sky grew a dark shade of orange and a heavy wind kicked up and out of seemingly no where tall and big dark figures appeared block my path to you I breathed in deeply and got into position and took off running extremely fast it seemed like I vanished I jumped really high and punched one in the face and it hit the ground with a loud crash I kicked another one while I was still in the air and used its body to propel myself into another one and I body slammed it and the last one I slammed right into its chest and left a big gapping hole upon it and continued running towards you and swept you up as I swept you up you looked a bit weak and like you were sick you were shaking so I picked you up and carried you on my back "are you okay chey" but you didn't respond you just layed your head on me and you had your eyes closed holding on tightly, -hmm wonder what happened I hope shes okay shes so fragile and what were those things- I thought as I looked at my bloodied fists, the sky was starting to shift black to its natural blue and the wind calmed to a slight breeze, "okay beloved it would take a while to get back to the village so we'll just camp out in the forest", I saw a clearing with a thick tree and leaned you up against it the leaves where falling and slowly drifting down and there was a beam of light aiming down on the clearing -shes so beautiful she just gleams in the light along with the dress shes wearing, okay I don't want her getting worse, luckily theres a steam a few steps down I can hear it- I took my knife out I had hidden in a pouch around my waist it has markings on it I had found it years ago its very special and unusually sharp 'alright beloved i'll be back in a few min I promise, I don't like leaving you alone" I kiss your forehead and started heading down the path to the stream, I heard a strange sound and crouched "hmm whats that?", a deer jumps out from the brush, I breathe out "you are about to meet my knife my friend" I have a keen sense of hearing along with abnormal strength and have lived around the forests all the life its like my home, I reached the steam it was clear could see the rocks at the bottom and there were fish jumping out, I saw a big dragonflies sore down steam,"Ahh I love dragonflies", I had a specially made flask that I used to filled water, once i fille it up I put my hands in the water to wash away the blood "shes going to be mad at me, she doesn't like it when I get hurt", I used my knife to quickly stab a fish when it jumped out the water -so she can keep up her strength, and I remember a few sticks and a lot of leaves laying around in the clearly I could use those for fire- as I got out the stream I heard another loud noise -but no time to stop and find out the source of the sound I have to tend to chey- I ran back to the clearly and there were little colorful birds gathering around you, I walked toward you and they flew away but you slowly opened your eyes "...gabe......" you said in a raspy voice, I looked into your eyes and took your hand "I'm hear beloved", "gabe what happened? I remember everything went black and hearing your voice", "i don't know chey i'm glad your okay, your not hurt or anything are you?", you just shook your head "no my head just feels weird", I gave you my flask "here drink, you need it", you took a few sips and then I put the cap back on and started gathering sticks "okay im going to light a fire to cook this fish and so we can start heading out tomorrow" I rubbed two rocks together until there was a spark and lightly blew on the sticks and watched as a flame started to rise "alright seems in order", I descaled the fish with my knife and then stuck a stick through it, you stood next to me and watched as I held it over the fire "i know you really love fish, before we go I want you to see the stream I got it from its really clear", the sky started to darken as the sun set, "okay one order of cooked fish for my lady" I handed you the stick "while you eat that i'll set the blanket on the ground i'm always prepared *smiles*, you seem to be enjoying it", I wipe my knife off and put it back in its pouch it has a particular trait where with each kill the markings start to redden with blood, I always carried a draw string bag on my back that had most of my belongings one of them being a blanket, I pulled the blanket out and unrolled it, it was made from the fur of a wild dangerous beast I killed, its skin was almost impossible to cut through and its fur had arrow shaped markings it was warm outside as night time rolled in, there were fire flies illuminating the air, you looked like you were starting to get sleepy so I held your hand and walked you to the blanket I set it a few feet from the fire, I layed you down on the blanket and started to remove all of my items and then you pulled me down, " *laughs* hey chey" you snuggled on my chest and said "my pillow" -shes so cute-, we looked up at the stars together until you fell asleep, but you started to tremble a bit in your sleep and make scared faces, -this happens everynight-, "gabe...." you started screeching for my hands so I held your hand and held it tight, "its okay chey i'll keep the evil things away", you stopped trembling and started breathing more calmly

I closed my eyes, and at first everything was dark, but then I was along a river bank there was a girl laying on the rocks unconscious I ran to her and it was chey, she was bleeding had a big cut on her leg and a few scrapes and bruises probably from falling on the jagged rocks, she seemed like she was running from something and passed out, this was the first time I meet chey I was 10 and she was 9, I lived alone in the forest I didn't have a family but when I saw her I thought she was the most beautiful thing I ever saw and I needed to get her help, so I picked her up and took her to a near by village the people there knew me and would sometimes give me stuff but I never associated myself with anyone, I told them all that this girl is hurt real bad and she needs somewhere to sleep and be looked after I stayed by your side everyday until you finally woke up 3 days later, you healed up quite nicely and they bandaged your leg up, I was so happy to see that you woke up but you seemed scared and confused and backed away from me, "i found you laying along a river bed and carried you over to this village you were unconscious for 3 days and beat up, I was really worried and I've never seen anything so beautiful before", I looked at you, "my name is Gabriel, whats your name?", you just looked at me at first but then you spoke "my name is Cheyenne", your voice literally melted my heart, "that's a nice name, where are you from Cheyenne what happened why were you by a river bank and all lone?", but you couldn't answer any of those questions you didn't know, you just couldn't remember "its okay maybe you'll start remembering little by little i'll help you, but for now we should get you out of those tattered clothes", I went to a women in the village and asked her if she could make new clothes for you and she said yes but it would take about a day to complete, then I went back to your hut and saw that you fell asleep so I put a blanket over you but decided to stay by your side still just in case, the moon was out and I couldn't really sleep I just looked at you memorizing all of your features the light from the moon and the stars were bright enough for me to see your face, but you started to freak out in your sleep you didn't that the other 3 days to and the only way you'd stop is if I held your hand -I hope shes okay her hands are so warm- you started to mumble in your sleep, "...gabe... my gabe... he's mine..." and then you smiled, "huh did I hear her say my name and that im hers, i'm just hearing things, its lack of sleep, yeah haha", the sun started to rise and I could hear the chirping of birds, the sun was shining right in my eyes "d-did I doze off" I looked up and you weren't laying in the bed anymore, I jumped up "chey!!! where'd you go?" and ran outside but you were standing outside the hut looking at the sky, "there you are, are you sure you should be up and about?" mhmm im feeling better now, thank you gabe", you started smiling and it made me turn red "well no problem haha, umm i'll go see if the lady has your clothes ready", I was going to start walking away but you grabbed my hand "please don't leave me alone gabe" you gave me such a sad look so I held your hand "o-okay I wont, just come with me" we walked to the woman and she made made you a pair of boots and a light colored dress, we said our thanks and headed back to the hut so you could get changed and gather our stuff, "okay chey I don't know where im headed but are you willing to come with me" "yes anywhere with you" you said as you started changing in front of me, "what hey chey what are you doing?", I turned around really quickly "l-i'll wait outside", no please stay, I wanted to show you something", you lifted up your shirt and showed me your back, there was a black heart on the top of your back with little symbols around it, I touched it and it started glowing white and you let out a little gasp "im sorry" I pulled my hand back quickly, "i have black markings like this this on different parts of my body, but when you touch me they glow and it feels hot" "O-oh what do they mean chey", but I guess it wasn't very smart of me to ask you cant remember anything yet, "well i'll step outside for a second while you get changed is that okay?" "sure i'd much rather you stay but I guess you would be uncomfortable", "oh its not that I wouldn't be uncomfortable its just im a guy haha", "oh okay" you kind of give me a sad look as if you wanted me to see but I walked out the hut and took a deep breathe as sweat dripped down my body and I grasped my heart "what is this, why does she make me feel like this, I feel like im going to die", -why do I feel like I've known her my whole life somehow- once I calmed down I walked back to the hut and you were standing they're in your dress "so pretty", you blushed, "I-I mean it fits you perfectly, umm anyway I'll get my stuff and we can depart" I get my bag and the knife I found 3 years ago, I found it while sheltering myself in a cave during a storm it was stabbed into a rock and a managed to pull it out and I look at it it had strange markings on it they were glowing red, its almost as if I could hear voices coming from the knife itself, I didn't think anything at the time a kept it with me and made a special pouch for it, "are you ready to go chey", "yes", I took your hand and stepped out the hut it was pretty hot outside and I could hear the cicades and wildlife singing there songs, I told the village we were leaving and they gave me a flask with water in it and some food and a coat of fur along with bandages and medicine, "we're going on a journey together" I said as I looked at you and smiled


and then I opened my eyes, the sun was shining through the leaves as the wind blew them, the fire already went out, you were still asleep -my little sleeping beauty-, I poked your face and you slowly woke up, "wakey wakey sleepyhead", "aww gabe your so mean, im so comfortable" you started rubbing your head on my chest, I stuck my tongue out at you in a playful way "we have to keep going beloved", I rose up and helped you stand and then rolled the blanket back up and put it in my bag, "i wanted to show you the steam real quick", you jumped on my back and bit my neck trying to act like a vampire and I carried you to the steam, "see how clear it is", your eyes grew wide and ran into the water, "don't get yourself wet chey", but you didn't listen and started splashing me with water "oh your gonna get it now" and I ran into the water after you
