First of all, the sanity system is a major problem. I have around 300 sanity, and it takes almost two days to fully refill. This is not just slow, it's absurd. We need sanity for essences, character EXP, level cap materials, and basically every core progression system. Waiting two days just to continue playing is not engaging, it is not challenging, and it kills motivation. This feels like outdated mobile design that prioritizes artificial limits over actual gameplay. If this system stays like this, player retention will suffer badly.
The zipline system is also too restrictive. Only 20 ziplines for a whole area is ridiculous. Exploration should feel free and rewarding, but right now it feels artificially limited for no good reason. Please increase the zipline count per area and the rewards.
Character gears and weapons need serious rework. They are too operator-focused and cannot be used flexibly with other operators. This will become a massive problem when the roster grows and players want to swap operators freely. The current stat and sub-stat design feels inconsistent and poorly standardized. We need more universal, modular systems, not locked, niche gear that becomes useless outside specific characters.
Mineral beds are extremely unbalanced. In Wuling, I cannot even gather enough materials to produce proper mats because mineral beds are so limited and unevenly distributed. For example, having many Originium nodes but barely any Amethyst or Ferrium completely breaks AIC factory production. Resource distribution must be increased and balanced across the map, otherwise crafting and base systems feel frustrating instead of strategic.
Now the most important part: the story.
I have been playing Arknights for years, and the reason I love it is the worldbuilding, tone, and realism. Endfield currently feels like it has almost no meaningful narrative weight. Simply using familiar names to attract the old fanbase is not enough, we're already here. We need real writing.
Some portrayals are honestly disappointing, especially Warfarin, the Reconveners, and the Last Rite file. "Nezzsalem would be extremely moved if he were here" part is particularly shocking. I cannot believe this is how you chose to portray such a character. Do you really expect players to feel anything from this?
The tone is far too happy and sanitized. In Arknights, we experienced Oripathy, discrimination, massacres, war crimes, and despair. Endfield feels almost cheerful in comparison. For example, Ginny(I think that was her name?) from Valley Pass recovers from Oripathy almost instantly with a suppressor injection, as if nothing happened. This completely undermines the tragedy and realism that defined Arknights.
If Oripathy can be casually cured by time and technology, then what was the point of all the suffering, genocide, and racism the Infected endured in the original universe? This breaks the foundation of Arknights worldbuilding and huge impact for the future Arknights story.
Please bring back realism, moral complexity, and sorrow. That is what made Arknights special. Stop relying on old characters to pull nostalgia, we don’t need bait. We need strong new writing and serious storytelling.
Enemy factions also feel weak. Aggelois are basically stone rhinos with no meaningful backstory or ideology.
Bonekrushers are similar. Their designs and motives feel shallow. Please give enemy groups narrative depth, lore, and ideological identity, not just visual gimmicks.
I could say much more, but these are the main points.
This is not meant to be rude. I genuinely enjoy Endfield and want it to succeed and become popular. But please remember: we expect Arknights-level realism, deeper storytelling, and more engaging systems. I hope this feedback is taken seriously.
