Right, everyone has gone through it. Someone wanted to be an astronaut, some fruit to yogurt, president and someone could not decide. From any infantile dreams we had, elementary school woke us up. Formed us to tidily shaped box. Box, into which elementary school poured all – by the curriculum – we are supposed to know.

"Mrs Taylor. That Johnny. That is bad. He's having a real struggle with Maths lately." Mum of the son of course doesn't hesitate and finds a tutor for Johnny. Poor Johnny now spends even more time with a subject he is clearly not interested in and can't understand no matter what he does.

And why is no one looking at the fact he's not interested in Maths, yet loves literature and drawing and acing both classes. Kids are individualities and elementary school has one single task: To make everyone equal and average person. Everything, that's out of the curriculum is irrelevant. It only wants to take everything that makes the person different away and send forward in the system and this is how it goes further. At 15 he decides wrong again by which school he wants to study and new equations, dates, rules, homework and exercises are coming along the way. If Johnny doesn't still know what to do and hopelessly is looking for the purpose, he decides to go further and see if college or university will help him find that purpose and often and sadly, people have to pay tuition and still, with such high degree of education, there's a high chance of ending up in that bar, supermarket or on the assembly line.

So why should I decide on "What will I become?" When a five year old kid says that he wants to be an astronaut, year later wants to be a pirate and for adult it's like a joke. "Oh, he has time." waves his hand. "When he goes to school, he'll find out what he likes to do"

But then one day comes the real question, seriously asked. You're no longer five years old and you're expected to confidently answer question "Who will you become?" with one clear statement. "Electrician", "Programmer", "Baker" or at least "Chimney-sweep". If you say "I don't know" or for God's sake you change your mind every month or so. That's a problem.

Today is not an age, when knowledge is passed on from father to son. It was very possible, when your father was a baker, you'd have followed with his "know-how", in his footsteps. Nowadays, there's a completely new profession every month, and even more of them are constantly changing, at speed, any conventional school cannot possibly handle.

Among the newly opened up fields there are now new modern communicational methods and channels, people have new interests and catch up with more things. Thanks to Internet, we have constant feed of new stimuli. When I can't even decide on what high school I want to attend, how do I decide on that one single thing, I enjoy doing that could make me living for the rest of my life?
