The program must use a global array 'arr[100]' and a global integer 'n' to track the current number of elements. Replicate the following structure from my snippet:
1. Main Function: Use a `while(ch > 0)` loop and a `switch(ch)` block.
2. Function Definitions: Implement the following functions:
- read_array(): Input 'n' and then 'n' elements into the array.
- min_max(): Find and print the smallest and largest elements.
- sort(): Sort the array in ascending order.
- del(): Prompt for a position, delete the element, and shift remaining elements left.
- update(): Prompt for an index and a new value to replace the old one.
- print(): Display all elements currently in the array.
- search(): Perform a linear search for a user-provided value.
- insert(): Prompt for a position and value, shift elements right, and insert.
Ensure the code is clean, includes <stdio.h>, and handles basic edge cases (like preventing deletion if the array is empty).
