I woke up in the middle of the night, tangled up in Bucky’s strong arms, because of a sudden noise I heard. Something like… someone dropped a really heavy thing on the ground. Well, I was scared of darkness, so the noise wasn’t really helping me feel better in a room, where it was dark like in a fucking hole. I tried to move, but Buck was holding me really tight to his strong chest, muscular chest. The noise appeared again, but this time closer to my room.

Crawling up to be even closer to my boyfriend, I shut my eyes. His heartbeat didn’t calm me down, like it always do on the other days. Guess I was just too scared, because my own heart was rumbling like a damn drum. I growled quietly and sat up straight. Maybe Bucky can do something that will make me forget about the strange noise.

“Bucky, wake up” I whispered, shaking his normal arm. The man murmured something quietly and shook his head. “Bucky!” I shouted, when I heard the noise again.

He shot up in his bed, opening his blue eyes and locking them with my own. He gently touched my Y/S/C with his warm wand, as I started to breathe heavily. My bottom lip was shaking slightly, as if I was going to cry.

“What’s wrong, doll?” he whispered in a sleepy voice. Suddenly I felt guilty that I woke him up in the middle of the night.

“I just heard a noise, don’t worry, it’s nothing. Go back to sleep” I whispered back, but he shook his head. He furrowed his dark eyebrows.

Suddenly my boyfriend jumped out of the king sized bed. He turned on the lamp that was standing near. I sighed with relief, because now there was a lot brighter in my room and I wasn’t that scared anymore. But then I heard this god dammit voice again, so I jumped with a quiet squeal, falling off of the bed.

Bucky picked me up in a bridal style and walked out of my room. I clinged onto him as if I was going to fall to the ground. The brunette smiled down at me and kissed my nose quickly.

“We’re going to check what that noise is, doll. Don’t worry, there are no monsters outside” he told me.

The hallway was even darker than my room. Like a fucking grave. I cried out, putting my arms around Bucky’s neck. He saw everything in the dark, guess that’s because of the serum Hydra gave him. It all scared the shit out of me, but he kept walking with me in his arms. We were clearly going into the direction of the kitchen. Well, that’s good, because I became angry from that whole fear.

“I can’t see anything and I’m fucking cold, Bucky. Can we go back to my room?” I hissed.

“Relax, honey, we’re almost there” he giggled. I furrowed my eyebrows. Why is he so happy and giggly now? For the love of God, what is happening there?

When Bucky put me on the ground I almost screamed. I was scared that there’s a monster in the dark, who will eat me alive. My boyfriend just walked over to turn the light on. I wasn’t expecting the thing I saw and heard, when he did that.

“SURPRISE!” all of my team mates shouted, holding a big birthday cake in front of them. I laughed nervously. I forgot that today’s my birthday. To be honest, I wasn’t expecting them to do such a cute thing for me. I thought everyone forgot about this special day.

“You fucking idiots, I almost shit my pants, because of you! You’re all lucky you have a cake for me, otherwise I would kill you” I told them, but then walked over to hug each one of them. This was going to be the best birthday ever.
