for air and Ocean export shipments
Obtain rate from Carriers for both Ocean and Air
Check for Cargo availability and arrange pickup and delivery
Make booking with carriers for the correct schedule
Log into Scanwell internal system
Prepare export documents including B13, Bills of Lading Instructions.
Prepare Bills of Lading, invoice and collect payment from shippers or bill the
right party.
Proficiency in preparing Letter of Credit Shipments, handled many LC shipments
Check for insurance rate and prepare Insurance Certificates for export shipments
Send pre alerts to overseas Scanwell Offices and track the shipment movement
until gets delivered to the consignee
Co-ordinate with overseas offices for shipment arrangements
Maintained filing system, pertaining to air and ocean shipment
Met with sales agents from Steamship lines to discuss rates, problems
Very good knowledge of INCO terms
