Fredrick Douglass was born in Talbot, County, MD. Fredrick Douglass birth date is unknown because back in 1700's and 1800's people didn't take records of black people birth dates, the only person who would know is the black slaves mom's. Also, if you was white, people took record of your birth date but, if you wasn't then, you wouldn't know your birth date. Fredrick Douglass ran away from slavery on September 3, 2016. He ran away and then, became a leader of enslavement. He also started speaking for the slaves and told others that had no problem with slavery, what slaves want, why they should be free and what others can do to shut Jim Crow laws and slavery down. He was better than the abolitionists who stand behalf of slaves but, never been a slave before. Fredrick was a better person to stand up for slaves because he had been a slave before and experienced being a slave. Thomas Greene Bethune, A.K.A, Blind Tom was a pro piano player that was blind. He was also the first African American to perform at the white house.
