and that is what differentiates bhakti frm pampering.
in that setting sense gratification is not good algorithm, as it wont give connectivity to krishna, so bhakti gives connectivity and purification.
this is is the principle which has to be understood
understanding the modes and controllershipfactor of modes in our life,
neither we should surrender to the modes !! if we surrender modes will never allow us to follow bhakti and they go deeper into the material regime.
and if we reject modes and journey is going to be very bumpy
and we will face lot of adventures more than digestible.
therefore regulated modes act as shock absorbers.
nobody can say that i do not need any sense gratiication at all, i am sthita dhir muni and prashantatma, and that proclivity is niether recommended not stable.
someitmes on a platform of ego one can show these types of extreme behavioural patterns, but they will not be stable.
totally rejecting means it is indigested adventure.
therefore we understand that regulated modes are necessity
that is the meaning of what sp says modes convey akward positions
one should not relish satiation of modes,
therefore i am now in akward posotion therefore understanding this one has to set the pivot of regulation
and these gunas, make us attach
one should feel awkward here
if we not able to help a vaishnava due to our inability to extend we should not rejoice in it, but one should feel awkward about not doing it
going to pilgrimage to take break should not be in a mode to rejoice but in a mood of awkwardness that i am not able to do service now but will continue later
that is how one starts learning to dissociate from blue of sense gratification
that is the art of dissociation, there is work still
one does not unnecessarily hankering for feast
sometimes there is such a zoom in prelimenary things that main bhakti goes into background
having needs is not a problem, but zoomiing on needs and keeping others low is a problem and that will choke us from practicing bhakti
philosophically speaking this is one of the factor that differentiates from sense gratification
zoom should be on vaishnava seva, and we happen to give touch to some additional things
that is why lord krishna is speaking about knowledgable
knowledge means to set right these zoom percentages and this is meaning of tattvavit
the need to advance is in much more priority than to need to be cozy and peaceful
it has to be givensome percentage

Bewildered by the modes of material nature, the ignorant fully engage themselves in material activities and become attached. But the wise should not unsettle them, although these duties are inferior due to the performers’ lack of knowledge.
full engagement in material activities lead to material attachment
therefore we understand that in our life let the life be simple
let the need be not become so much and so much expanded that the bhakti element is not visible
bhakti element should be primary in his activities and dealings and so on
nobody is telling to kill your nature, but it should not be over emphasizing it
one is little bit we have to give to nature, second is we have to expand the field of activites than to limit them
our nature may resist some physical seva, but we make it a point to do some physical seva, to expand the proclivities
we should do other things also, and we shoudl have plan to expand from the dictations of nature
that is important,
the point is we should not be so overwhlemed with the advancement of others and we try to pull them and we may pull of his hairs
one cannot drag the other person
one has to have maturity and sensitivity
otherwise it becomes very difficult for the devotee who is facing it
that is how a wife pushes her husband above his thought process
life teaches life, we have to observe the life around and we have to do proper matchings for that we need sastra
pampering ourself is not good, we have to take us ahead also
for most people material pleasure is necessity
we have to step back when we are happy and question and ask whether it is material or spiritual should be asked
if kirtan is spiritual pleasure then we should not have any instruments and just listen to the kirtan, that means it is material
it is all progressive curve
initially mridanga playing can be for our pleasure, we will be playing it like rajinikanth playing it, but after sometime krishna's presence starts getting acknoledged as style goes away
in anything we do it is like that
given an option where to sleep, prabhupad birth spot or here in prabhupad bhavan, that is the point we have to think
balance has to be there
similarly in prasad, if it is the same item everyday it becomes very difficult
when it comes to us we have to see that we are getting satisfied and we have to go beyond that also
if there is some acceleration and there is some friction so there will be come constant speed
if we do not accelerate then bhakti will be over shadowed
