در اثر شدت برخورد يكدستگاه اتوبوس با يك راس اسب در محور فومن به سراوان، روستاي كوزان شفت، و عدم كنترل راننده اتوبوس 5 كشته و 27 نفر ديگر نيز به شدت مجروح شدند.
به گزارش تحریریه خبر روابط عمومی سازمان آتش نشانی وخدمات ایمنی رشت، در ساعت 20 و 47 دقیقهی شب گذشته جمعه 25 فروردين 91 ، وقوع حادثهی تصادفی در محور فومن به سراوان، به سامانهی 125 آتشنشانی اطلاع داده شد که بلافاصله 3 دستگاه خودروی اطفاییه و نجات بههمراه 12 نفر نيرو به محل حادثه اعزام شدند.
به گفتهی شاهدان عيني حاضر در محل حادثه، خودروي اتوبوس در حال حركت كه با ورود يك راس اسب در اتوبان روبرو ميشود كه پس از برخورد با آن، به سمت ديگر اين محور، منحرف و بر روي سقف خود واژگون ميشود به گونه اي كه تمامي مسافرين بر اثر مسدود شدن در و پنجرهها، در داخل آن محبوس شدند. در اثر اين حادثه 5 تن بلافاصله كشته و 27 نفر ديگر نيز به شدت مجروح گرديدند كه توسط آتشنشانان پس از 2 ساعت و 29 دقيقه تلاش، از داخل اتوبوس خارج و بهوسيله اورژانس به مراكز درماني منتقل گرديدند.
بنابر گزارش شاهدان عيني تا پاسي از شب تلاش براي نجات مسافران ادامه داشت و به علت دير رسيدن جرثقيل و نيروهاي امدادي تعداد كشته شدگان بسي بيشتر از اين آمار خواهد بود.بسيار ناراحت كننده است كه چرا جان انسان در اين مملكت بي ارزش است دليل اصلي تصادف به گفته شاهدان عيني نبود گاردريل و روشنايي در كنار جاده عدم استاندارد بودن جاده كه به گفته خودشان اتوبان مي باشد ولي عرض دوطرف جاده به 15 متر هم نمي رسد
