Maag atau Gastritis adalah peradangan pada mukosa lambung yang bisa disebabkan oleh faktor iritasi, infeksi atau akibat telat makan/melewatkan makan.
Klasifikasi Gastritis
1. Gastritis akut : Peradangan mukosa sementara yg tidak menimbulkan gejala, gastritis akut ini munculnya secara mendadak tetapi cepat reda.
2. Gastritis kronis : Peradangan yang disebabkan oleh gastritis akut yang berulang ulang sehingga iritasi mukosa berulang-ulang pula, terjadi secara perlahan dan berlangsung lama .
Lambung mempunyai sel - sel penghasil asam dan enzim yg berguna untuk mencerna makanan. Sel lambung ada 4, yaitu sel parietal, sel chief, sel goblet dan sel enteroendokrin
Sel parietal : penyekresi HCl
Sel chief : pengekspor protein , penghasil enzim lipase dan hormon pepsin
Sel goblet : penghasil mucus atau lendir yg memproteksi lambung
Sel enteroendokrin : Sel penghasil berbagai macam hormon yg berupa peptida pendek.
Untuk melindungi lapisan lambung dari radang atau pengikisan asam, sel-sel tersebut juga sekaligus menghasilkan lapisan “lendir”. Lapisan lendir ini berfungsi melindungi dinding lambung dari iritasi akibat asam yang diproduksi. Gastritis terjadi ketika lapisan tersebut rusak sehingga dinding lambung mulai teriritasi.
Pada sebagian penderita, gejala bisa muncul berupa rasa nyeri atau ngilu pada perut bagian atas, mual, muntah, serta kehilangan nafsu makan. Dan pada kasus gastritis yang terbilang parah yaitu akibat terjadinya pengikisan & pendarahan pada lapisan lambung, gejala yang timbul bisa berupa tinja berwarna merah atau hitam & muntah darah.
Faktor - Faktor yg menyebabkan gastritis
- Melewatkan makan / makan tidak teratur
- Merokok
- Terkena Heliobacter pylorus
- Merokok
- Stress
- Kurang istirahat
- Minum minuman beralkohol
- Minum obat antiinflamasi seperti aspirin dan ibu profen
