- Decided not to return as a swim coach to Newport Hills Swim and Tennis Club (my childhood swim team)
- Found a job as a bus-girl at a local restaurant - worked their for ~3 months during the summer
- Started dating my high school sweetheart again (dated for 2 years in high school, separate for 4 years of college)
- Embarked on a 1 month trip with said sweetheart around the world (farmed in France, visited Paris, visited China with his family)
- Returned home to the PNW after our worldly travels and packed up my life in Seattle
- October 12th, 2015 - Moved to NYC
- Lived in NYC with sweetheart rent free for several months. October/November/December were spent looking for a job.
- December 2015 - finally found temporary work at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) working in Human Resources
- Got a second job working at General Assembly (a start-up) to help pay the rent
- Childhood dog dies; younger sister informs me she is depressed at school
- Decided I needed a full-time/permanent job; got an offer from Bridgewater Associates in Connecticut
- Moved out of sweetheart's place into my own apartment in the Upper East Side with two random girl roommates
- Accepted job at Bridgewater Associates in Connecticut working in Human Resources
- 2 months later, moved to Connecticut because the commute drained me of all life! (Moved in with two boys who also work at BW)
- Reached the 6 month mark at Bridgewater; took a weeklong trip home to Seattle for some R&R&R (Rest/Relaxation/Reflection)
- Had a serious conversation with sweetheart about the past year where he told me that something needs to change in our relationship
- *Here we are: this is me, trying to prioritize myself and get better*
