Terrorism is the unlawful use of violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims. Many religious people would disagree with Terrorism as it often involves the harm of unarmed civilians. Jesus said that 'blessed are the peacemakers' so Christians may support more peaceful means of protest. Civil rights leaders such as Martin Luther King and Mahatma Gandhi have advocated the use of nonviolence and 'passive resistance'. They have also both used their religion ( Christianity and Hinduism) to promote their cause.
On the other hand some people believe the only way to get their voice heard is through violence as they have been silenced by their oppressors. Terrorism may not necessarily involve hurting people but just the destruction of property for example the suffragettes who frequently rioted and vandalized buildings.
