Longing for a New Evaluation System
With the development of the society, people pay more and more attention to building a new evaluation system. The obsolete evaluation system just focus on scores, but always igonre most core of what stduents are really learning. As a consequence, some students have been found cheating on their exams. Some of them copy from each others, some took out their textbooks or reference books to copy, still some used the modern communication tools such as mobile phone as a way to cheat on exams.
Looking into the depth there are complex reasons, there are many factors accounting for this. Firstly, there is not a standard to value what kind of education is best while exames and scores at this moment could be a visible method. Secondly, some students are lazy and don't work hard at their lessons, so when taking examinations, they sometimes cheat in order to get better results to please their parents and teachers.Finally, under that kind of circumstances, current evaluation system with low quality bring student endless pressure.
However, how to stop cheating on exam and build a new evaluation system? In my opinion, there are two ways we can adopt. First, a severe punishment should be put into effect to prevent students from cheating. Second, great effort should be made for goverment and universities to provide more efficient methods to evaluating students.
