(È anche possibile che l'Aradia sia una creazione di Maddalena, ma )gli elementi di cui è composta erano già apparsi in altre opere in "momenti non sospetti", perciò al massimo sarebbe esclusivamente una messa in poesia di tali elementi, che però hanno molta possibilità di essere autentici.
Ad esempio l'associazione tra le streghe e Diana ed Erodiade si ritrova già nell'Etruscan Roman Remains, la storia di Diana che cerca di sedurre con l'aiuto della magia il fratello (in questo caso non nominato mentre nell'Aradia viene chiamato Lucifero) grazie ad alcune fattucchiere (molto più probabili rispetto ai poteri prima del tempo-si chiamano così????) è presente nelle Leggende di Firenze e la storia di Diana e i bambini è stata aggiunta dal Leland al vangelo ma faceva parte prima delle Leggende Inedite di Virgilio.
Difatti manoscritto originale è capitolo 1,2 e inizio 4 (controlla su Mathiesen!!), altre sono aggiunte.

Laverna e Diana-e-bambini di legends of Virgil -> capitoli 15 e 13
Pertanto di nuovo l'Aradia fornisce i nomi: Aradia al posto di Erodiade, e Lucifero al posto dell'innominato fratello, che non sapremo mai se sono autentiche corruzioni o creazioni di Maddalena.
D'altra parte, accettando il materiale proveniente dagli altri lavori di Leland accettiamo l'esistenza di una rimanenza delle figure di Diana, Erodiade e Apollo, questi due poi chiamati nel Vangelo delle Streghe Aradia e Lucifero.
