Falling Through Earth
What would happen if you jump into a hole through the center of the earth? . The earth is molten rock that's hot enough to melt iron so if you were to fall through the earth you may be melted on the way. How do you fail you would be propelled by the force of gravity. gravity would accelerate you down word and once gravity would accelerate you down word and once you pass the center of the earth you would be moving upward to the other side of the surface of the earth. The and word pool from gravity would slowly slow down the rise. Going from one side of the earth to the other it would take less than an hour. You would have to put drag from air resistance and friction from tunnel walls into the experiments a calculations. With those factors it to be more than a year before you even reach Earth’s center. Scientist calculated that it would take 1.8 years to get to the center of the earth. Might not be able to make it to the center of the earth because of the air pressure is so high and it would behave more like a solid then a gas. In a
airless tunnel it could take 19 minutes to get to the center of the earth instead of 1.8 years. With my airless tunnel you would not be able to overcome the pull of gravity to make it to the other side so instead he would fall back down before reaching the other side of the Earth’s surface. The process of you getting to the center of the earth and falling back down to the side you started would keep repeating. As you can see there would be many ways that this experiment could fail. One of the reasons I could fail is because the earth centered could be too hot that it would melt you and then you would die. Or would not be able to make it to the other side of the Earth’s surface because it could be an airless tunnel. Another reason is that the air pressure could be so high that the air would act as a solid not a gas so then you would not be able to breathe in a gas which would be oxygen so you end up dying. . Or the experiment to go perfectly fine and you will go from one side of the earth to the other without any problems and you would have enough time to wear when you pop out of the other side you would land on the ground and you wouldn't go back and repeat the cycle again and again. In case station there are many ways that this experiment could go wrong because of all the variables but if you get it just right the experiment will work out just fine.
