Dan and Phil (TMI)

General: Dan never got along with his dad. The reason isn’t confirmed however speculation can be either due to his sexuality or the possibility he wasn’t a planned child. (source: person who is friends with phil’s old uni teacher)

Phan is real, and always has been.

Phil is bi (preference for men), Dan is bi (unsure of preference).

2003-2005: Phil cheated on people. He was quite a ‘fuckboy’ back in the day and always being gossiped/talked about. (source: friend that was in year at school)

2006-2007: Dan smoked and smoked weed. Hung around with people that also smoked. Evidence of the ‘gang of people’ here.

2004 - 2007: Dan bullied a friend of mine. One incident I can recall is that my friend had their head flushed in a toilet and Dan was one of the people laughing at him and doing stuff. (source: the person who got bullied by dan)

2008 – Early 2009: Charlie Casey and Phil Lester were in a polyamorous relationship with 3 other men. (source: updatedphan and a friend of one of the other men involved)

January 2009 – March 10th 2009: Charlie Casey and Phil Lester had a collaboration channel called ‘pabloislove’.

February 2009: Dan found out about Phil, still dating Erin (not going well).

March 9th 2009: Charlie Casey and Phil Lester met in real life.

May 2009: Dan started to talk to Phil on twitter.

March 2009 – October 19th 2009: Somewhere around this time, Dan sent Phil sexual texts/pictures. Phil sent the pictures to Charlie and somewhat mocked Dan for it. (source: eternallyphan)

October 19th 2009: Dan and Phil met in real life – platform 7 Manchester Piccadilly.

October 19th – 22nd October 2009: Dan stayed at Phil’s. PINOF was made that week.

October 19th 2009 or somewhere from October/December 2009: Dan and Phil started dating. (monogamous)

October 30th 2009: Dan stayed at Phil’s. (which was a 3 hour journey to get there, for only 1 night)

October 31th 2009: Dan and Phil travelled to London for the Halloween Gathering. They both stayed at a friend’s house in London. Possibly Tom Bacon.

November 1st 2009: Phil went to Dan’s for the first time. (not confirmed but it is a possibility)

November 2nd 2009: They went to the cinema together. (not confirmed but it is a possibility)

November 3rd 2009: Dan had a “biblical scale” argument with his dad. 40 minutes later everything was “shit again” and he needed somewhere to escape.

November 7th 2009: Dan went to Phil’s house. Dan, Phil and Stephen went around Manchester together. Possibility this was when they recorded the Stephen and Phil in Manchester video. The video was posted exactly a month after and it is possible that ApartmentRed had a schedule.

November 8th 2009: Phil posted a picture on dailybooth saying “I’ve kidnapped Dan for another day” (they recorded How to Befriend Your Favourite Internet Stars).

November 10th 2009: How to Befriend Your Favourite Internet Stars was posted. Phil posted a picture of him tied up with the caption “help” and Dan said “I’m never untying you”.

November 12th 2009: The lion nude was posted. Dan later claimed in 2012 that it was ‘clonestamped’ (photoshop), this has confirmed to be false as they themselves have said they can’t use photoshop.

November 14th 2009: Dan went to see his friend Josh at Southhampton uni.

November 15th 2009: Dan said he had a massive hangover and no recollection of the night before.

Late November 2009: The formspring ask “has anyone ever saved you? (emotionally or physically)” in which Dan replied with “phil?”.

November 2009: Charlie tweeted something shading Dan/Phil.

November 29th 2009: Dan went to see Phil again.

December 1st 2009: Phil posted a dailybooth saying “Dan is living here for a week. They were going to Manchester to see Paranormal Activity.” They also posted a picture of them together (couple-ish) saying they were making a QnA (it never happened).

December 2nd 2009: Dan and Phil had sex for the first time. ‘Uma Thurman watched me have sex’.

December 20th – December 24th 2009: Dan stayed at Phil’s.

February 14th 2010: The VDay video was recorded.

June 2010: Phil showed up to his school reunion with a ‘steady boyfriend’ (Dan), people were shocked as he had a reputation for “talking into bed”. Dan DID go to his school reunion with him. (source: person who is in the same year as Phil in school)

August 2010: Phil moved from Rossendale to Manchester to a one bedroom flat. Dan said “I can’t wait to dump all of my junk in Phil’s flat”.

September 2010: Dan moved to Manchester (to start university).

2010: The VDay video was recorded.

2010: AmazingDan and AmazingDan 2 were uploaded.

2010: PINOF 2 was uploaded.

2010: Dan stayed at Phil’s one bedroom flat a lot.

December 31st 2010: Dan and Phil went to Tom Milsom’s New Years party and got drunk. Apparently Tom was denied access of his own bedroom that night, he assumes Dan and Phil were using his bedroom. (source: person who knows someone who went to that party)

January 1st 2011: They woke up at Tom Milsom’s flat, extremely hungover. (source: person who knows someone who went to that party)

August 2011: Phil moved into a two bedroom flat.

2012: Dan and Phil were worrying about money, Phil was only just getting paid enough and Dan had dropped out. This went against Phil’s original plan, as Dan was never meant to live with Phil. They ended up getting into a lot of arguments as they were paying their internet bill over their food bill (the reason why they were so skinny in the college dropout video). Dan said “if you leave me I’ll kill myself” and then he had a suicide attempt. Phil freaked out and when he got offered the Radio show job, asked if Dan could do it too. They moved to London for a fresh start (July). They also had to deal with the V-Day video being spread around as their channels blew up. This resulted in Dan going through a ‘no homo phase’ and Dan being rude to pretty much everyone.

2012/2013: Dan and Chris got into an argument over Chris taking a selfie which had Dan and Phil holding hands in it. Phil tried to calm down Dan but Dan wasn’t listening, instead shouting at Chris. (source: tomska’s ‘apparent’ ex)

2012/2013: Possible fight between Charlie and Phil, not confirmed to be true or not.

2012/2013: Dan posted the video “Human Interaction” and Charlie got mad. He said “no but seriously im really glad that some people actually have social anxiety and can’t leave their fucking houses without breaking down but you use it as a gimmick to make money and be famous on the internet”.

27 June 2013 - Charlie teases Dan on twitter saying he interacts with Dan’s followers more than Dan does. Dan replies saying between videos/younows etc he “always hold the cup”. Charlie replies (obviously jokingly) saying “oh ok i just thought you preferred holding balls ^_^”

This then sparked an argument which prompted Dan to unfollow Charlie on twitter, and unfriend him on Facebook. July-October 2013 - Emma, Luke, Charlie, Evan and their group of friends continued to joke about phan in videos and live shows.

August 2013 - Dan accuses fans of being stalkers.

Late 2013 - Adrian Howell drama - phans found adrian’s social media. Someone sent an ask to him asking about Dan. his response was “Dan is a dick”. Dan got pissed at people stalking his brother. This is also when plans found Dan’s ex on social media and started posting her pictures, and not just ones that had dan in them.

2014 - Things start getting better, financially and emotionally. The youtube call out scandal happened and they lose a lot of friends and it cements their faith in each other. getting back together and shit. (source: someone who is friends with someone in the youtube community. and updatedphan)

2015 - nothing really happened except book, tour, being more comfortable in videos, charliebitmyfinger in youtube rewind etc.

2016: Dan was rude to someone that met them for 40 minutes. He was apparently pretentious, talked down to them, is catty and said “oh, you wouldn’t like Chris if you knew him personally’. (source: person who met dan and phil in real life, they work behind the scenes in youtube)

2016: Charlieskies got hacked by Charlie and Rin. He said he left the internet due to the phandom nearly putting him in hospital. You can read about it here.
