EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This paper tries to make a critical review of the prohibition of the threat or use of force and its exceptions, as well as the principle of nonintervention. The Syrian armed conflict has been taken as a case of Syrian armed conflict, the war that takes place within the time frame from 2011 to the present and within the geographical framework in Syria and its borders with neighboring countries. During the Syrian conflict, different methods of intervention have been used, both by the United Nations Organization (such as non-military sanctions and the investigation of human rights violations) and by other international actors. The possibility of armed intervention against the Bashar Al Assad regime in Syria has also been discussed and it is in this debate on ways to intervene to protect human rights in Syria and the possibility of using military force in the Center this writing.
The work is structured in four parts. The first part presents the Syrian armed conflict in a descriptive way trying to select those facts that are considered key to the subsequent discussion on possible forms of intervention. The second part is devoted to legal discussion and the third part to political discussion. Finally, in the fourth part the results and conclusions of the work are developed, in terms of possibilities of armed intervention in Syria, effectiveness of the collective security system in reference to the protection of Human Rights together with the prohibition of the use of the threat Or armed force, proposals for change in the system of international intervention - such as proposals for reform of the United Nations Security Council, or proposals for new forms of armed intervention outside the Security Council's authorization, Either unilaterally or with the coalition of some countries - their possibilities of implementation and, lastly, the state of the question and questions to be answered.
The methodology of the work has been based on the search of information from statistical sources (to know the most relevant data of Syria), press, international legislation and academic bibliography, mainly of the disciplines political sciences and public international law. 5

The main conclusions refer to the difficulties in protecting the human rights of the collective security system (the highest body of which is the Security Council, in which all five permanent members have veto power) and the tension between the general prohibition Of the use and threat of armed force and conflict, in which the international community discusses the possibility of armed intervention, such as the Syrian war (or the Libyan conflict, in which the Security Council did authorize armed intervention). 6
