"Film Animasi"
Film animasi adalah hasil olahan gambaran tangan sehingga menjadi gambar yang dapat bergerak. Pada awal penemuannya, film animasi dibuat dengan cara menggambar ribuan gambar yang kemudian diputar secara bergantian sehingga gambar tersebut tampak bergerak. Di masa sekarang, dengan bantuan CG atau grafis komputer, pembuatan film animasi bisa jadi lebih mudah. Ternyata animasi tertua di dunia adalah wayang kulit, yang telah memenuhi semua elemen animasi: layar, musik, dialog, dan gambar bergerak. Dari timur, khususnya Jepang, juga terkenal istilah anime.
Beralih ke Barat, ada beberapa rumah produksi yang terkenal seperti Disney, Pixar, dll. Di dunia animasi Barat, ada beberapa film animasi terkenal hingga meraup keuntungan yang tinggi. Contohnya:
Frozen dari Disney keluaran tahun 2013,
lalu ada Shrek 2,
kemudian Ice Age, tepatnya Dawn of The Dinosaurs, tahun 2003,
Finding Nemo, produksi Disney bersama dengan Pixar, tahun 2003.
Shrek lagi, seri ketiganya, diproduksi oleh DreamWorks pada tahun 2007.
All-time favorite, The Lion King! Keluaran Disney pada tahun 1994.
Up! Ini juga buah hatinya Disney bersama dengan Pixar yang tayang tahun 2009.
Ice Age: The Meltdown, produksi 20th Century Fox tahun 2006.
Ratatouille, Disney dan Pixar, 2007.
Kung Fu Panda, produksi DreamWorks tahun 2008.
Itu dia deretan film animasi terfavorit dunia.
