"One wants a teller in a time like this"
2. The author (if known) will be listed below the title.
Gwendolyn Brooks
3. The subject of the poem is what the poem is about. Be precise, not vague.
From my perspective the poem is about a person going through a rough time acting like they dont need help or need anyone to lean on, but having someone tell them thats not true at all that they need someone at a rough time and that god could help if you went to church and asked for help things can get better
4. What is the author’s attitude about the subject? Is she reverent? She might be sarcastic. The author might be using satire. Does the author seem angry about the subject? Is the author witty and clever? Is the author detached and ho-hum about what she is writing?
The author's attitude is very helpful, she is sorry for another person and feel sympathy for them letting them know there never alone.
5. What is the theme of the poem? In addition to the actual subject, is the author trying to get a larger idea? In other words, what is she really trying to say?

the author is trying to tell you that even if your down quit going through it alone goto church and pray find someone to talk and have around during a time of down

it does rhyme a little bit but there isnt any specific pattern
10. Is there a climax to the poem? Is there a particular spot where the author is finally hitting the nail on the head and making his point?
the climax was when she told people that church is an option to attend sunday school and go to church and pray and blessings will come your way
11. What word choice does the poet use? Are the words all action words? Are they mostly common words conveying feelings? Are there a lot of adjectives and adverbs that describe things fully? Are the words all “big words” that the average reader will not know?
there isnt any big words, she used pretty average sized words
