1. Check for response,if none, check breathing. Call 911 and begin CPR.
a. tilt head back, listen for breathing.
b. pinch nose and cover mouth with own.
c. blow until chest rises.
d. 2 breaths, 1 second each.
e. if victim doesn't move/cough/breathe, place hands on chest between nipples.
f. push down 1.5-2 inches 30 times. 100 per minute. do not remove hands, gentle w/ children under 9
g. 2 breaths, then 30 pumps until help comes
CHILD CPR -
a. wait 2 mins of CPR before calling 911
b. use heel of one hand
c. press sternum(breastbone) 1/3 depth of chest
d. rest other hand on forehead
INFANT CPR -
a. shout and gently tap infant.
b. if there is no response, position infant on their backs.
c. open the airway by tilting head back. not too far back. Lift chin and tilt head
d. check for breathing
e. cover baby's mouth and nose with your mouth. give 2 gentle breaths. chest should rise w/ each breath
f. 30 compressions, 100 per minute. two or three fingers in center of chest, 1/3 depth pressing
g. repeat 2 breaths and 30 compressions. After 2 minutes, call 911
