Why do you want to work for Big Yellow?
I'd like to pursue medicine and so this role will help me develop confidence and help facilitate the important customer interaction that I will require as an aspiring medic. I'm also aware that the company supports various charities, of which I am personally inclined to help support the Great Ormond Street Hospital. It is also notable that you treat customers excellently, as shown by your website. Lastly, my family have previously been with you as clients, and during this time. We received brilliant customer service; and I'd be proud to represent the company which served me so well for so many years.

What skills and experience could you bring to the role?
I interacted with customers in the Feltham Next retail store, as I worked on the store floor. From this, I improved my communication skills and gained experience in operating under pressure, as I had to deal with problems as they surfaced, including, but not limited to, dissatisfied customers. Furthermore, I have volunteered in a nursery, contributing to healthy parents and staff relationships, and it helped me understand how patience is an indispensable virtue to jobs which involve contact with other people. I also have impressive team working skills, as my previous jobs helped develop these. I'm IT literate, as made evident by my obtained A grade in AS ICT.

The passion and enthusiasm of our staff is key to developing our brand. Tell us about a situation where you have demonstrated passion and enthusiasm.
I participated in my school's charity week last year when I was the only pupil in my form group who had the initiative to buy and sell pizza. My enthusiasm was shown by how I actively tried to sell my product to all those who were interested, and I am extremely passionate for charity, as I helped make over £15,000 with my school. This passion ties in with why I'd like to work for you.

The involvement and contribution of our staff is key to the success of our business. Tell us about an idea that you have successfully implemented in either your personal life or career.
When I was 15, my school banned the use of USBs. Online storages at the time were either blocked or insufficient, and I did not have the funding available to purchase a better storage plan. As such, after identifying the problem, I aimed to solve it by implementing an idea that I had established. Soon after my 16th birthday, I inexpensively bought a domain and a hosting plan to successfully create a website that acted like my personal cloud server, so I could use it at school. To this date, I still use this server and the implementation of the idea has proved extremely successful.
