Kucing besar ini adalah tipe pemburu yang mengendap-endap dalam mengincar mangsanya. ••
Setelah itu memberikan lompatan atau pengejaran untuk menangkap mangsanya. Setalah mendapatkan mangsa, Bobcat langsung melumpuhkan mangsanya dengan cara memberikan gigitan di area kepala atau leher mangsa.
