Em Guanacaste e atualmente em muitos outros centros urbanos se realizam as corridas de touros à tica, nos que se jogam touros de uma maneira muito popular.
Em Costa Rica e especialmente em Guanacaste a festa se traduziu ao folclore. Estas possuem outro colorido, e ao igual que nas famosas corridas também têm heróis na arte do tourear e montar bestas, com a característica especial que não existe capote, fila, nem a matança do touro, mas sim um chapéu de lona e uma baqueta, acessórios típicos de nosso toureador. Na corrida se doma e monta no gado usando uma corda que se sustenta muitas vezes com uma mão só e o característico e sobressalente; o grande lenço colorido e o famoso grito "UYUJUYYY! BAJURA TOURO!". Desfrute das belas corridas de touros à tica!
Uma das maiores comemorações do país é durante o Columbus Day com uma grande festa.
