~ sandi braille/huruf braille adalah suatu sistem penulisan yang menggunakan titik-titik timbul yang mewakili sebuah karakter tertentu.
~ penciptanya adalah louis braille, pada awalnya louis menciptakan huruf braille untuk orang tuna netra namun seiring berkembangnya zaman huruf tersebut digunakan juga bagi dektetif sebagai kode untuk menyamarkan makna tertentu
~ pada umumnya huruf braille berjumlah 6 titik timbul pada tiap selnya (sekarang sudah ada pengembangan menjadi 8 titik timbul)
