I am sorry to learn the issue you faced.
The system shows, we have not received any payment because your bank did not authorize us to charge your account.
It normally happens when the bank details you entered don’t match with the details updated in your bank’s database.
Since your account has been charged and we have not received the payment, it would be automatically refunded within 2 to 4 business days.
Actually what happens it that the bank check whether the merchant (here Amazon.in) has charged the account or not. If the merchant does not charge, the amount which has been charged is automatically reversed by the bank. But this process would take 2 to 4 business days and much earlier depending on the bank’s policy.
So, even your statement shows it charged, please don’t worry because it has to be refunded automatically at any cost.
At the end, give reassurance
I can again assure that your money is safe, so please don't worry.
If customer’s says what if it is not refunded within the timeline
Then we are here to escalate it with the Billing Team and they would check with your bank to resolve the issue. So, in any case, you, please don’t worry. We are always ready to work with our valued customers like you so that the issue is resolved.
