*Beep Beep Beep Beep* That's my Alarm meaning a sign to get up. I think to myself, Why do I feel so dreadful this morning? Then it suddenly dawns on me, Its my first day of me new school. That explains why I feel so tired, I didn't get any sleep due to me being terrified all night. How did I forget? I don't feel entirely alone as the whole of my primary school has moved up to this new territory.

I reach over to my phone on the desk beside my bed and press the button which causes a sudden burst of artificial light to reflect into my eyes. I find the switch to turn the brightness down and then I can see time - 5:20am. Why is it so early? I am sure I set it later. Then i come to the realisation that my mum, who has no idea, how to set an alarm. I may aswell lay in my bed for a while, I can't get back to sleep anyway. Suddenly a flood of question's run into my head. What is high school like? Do the year 11's really call us 'maggots'? Are swirlys an actual thing?

For the next hour i keep reassuring myself and trying to calm down. I reach to my phone and see the time now - 6:30am. Where did time go? Oh yes, Time always speeds up when you are dreading something. I lifted my body up and take the soft comforts of my lower body. Walking towards the door i start panicking again, why do i do this to myself? my uniform is hanging on the door: a black blazer, a ombre jumper, white tshirt, skirt, black tights and my new blue tie (which represents my school house).

My mind flickers through all the memories of primary school until i hear footsteps pad downstairs and the kettle turned on. i remember Angus is not going to be there because he is home schooled. he has always been home schooled. Angus fairly tall with a cloud of blonde fluffy hair on his head. when i see him, my heart flutters. i have never met is parents and have never been to his house but it still doesnt faze me. my parents would definitly not picture myself being associated with boy so i keep him a secret, like he does to me. we are not in a relationship, just best friends and i love that.

i told angus to meet me outside my house at 8:30am so i hgeaded outside. i turnedd the corner and there he stood, leaning against the fence on my drive.

"Hi Angus, i missed you so much!" i called over, slightly startling him.

"Aaliyah, i have missed you too. its your new school today! Are you excited?" Angus asked with a smile.

i replied with a "kind of, not really feeling well today though."

"dont worry aaliyah, you will get through this. i better go but i will see you tonight!" he reassured. i replied with a bye and a hug and skipped of, back into the house.

i hopped into the car and entered my first day into what was the oppitomy of nerves. Angus was here for me and that was all that mattered.
