Runespoor ini berasal dari negara kecil di Afrika, namanya Burkina Faso, panjang mahluk ini biasanya mencapai 1,8 atau 2,1 meter. Ciri fisik Runespoor tubuh berwarna oranye pucat dihiasi garis-garis hitam. Namun makhluk ini mudah dilihat. Jadi Kementerian Sihir Burkina Faso merancang beberapa hutan tertentu yang tidak dapat dilacak yaitu semata-mata untuk kepentingan hidup Runespoor. Runespoor juga salah satu binatang peliharaan favorit penyihir hitam.
Tiap kepalanya punya kegunaan yang berbeda, yaitu:
1. Kepala sebelah kiri perencana, Kepala itu yang memutuskan ke mana Runespoor akan pergi dan apa yang akan mereka lakukan.
2. Kepala yang ditengah Adalah pemimpi, Runespoor bisa diam selama berhari-hari, tenggelam dalam impian yang agung sekaligus asyik berkhayal.
3. Kepala sebelah kanan adalah pengkritik. Kepala kanan akan menilai usaha-usaha yang dilakukan -kepala sebelah kiri dan tengah dengan desisan marah tanpa henti.
Di antara ketiga kepala ini, taring kepala kanan sangat berbisa dan Runespoor juga jarang mencapai umur panjang. Karena ketiga kepala itu cenderung menyerang satu sama lain. Cara Runespoor bertelur juga cukup unik yaitu melalui mulut. Telur Runespoor ini juga bernilai sangat tinggi dan digunakan untuk membuat ramuan yang berkhasiat merangsang kecerdasan mental. Selain itu, perdagangan telur Runespoor dan mahluk itu sendiri pernah marak di pasar gelap selama beberapa abad. Runespoor juga termasuk lambang bilangan rune kuno.
